No Supervisors Meeting for Two WeeksJuly 14 Meeting to Consider Medical Marijuana Ordinance By Michael P. Neufeld San Bernardino, CA - The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors won't meet Tuesday, June 30 or July 7, but will have a rather full agenda on July 14.
One of the July 14 items will be adoption of the medical marijuana ordinance. It includes the recommended fees for caregivers and non Medi-Cal patients of $166 per card and $83 for Medi-Cal patients, per year. ![]() San Bernardino County Government Center (Photo by Michael P. Neufeld.)
County supervisors read only the title of the proposed ordinance on June 22.
In addition to the fee schedule, the ordinance also authorizes the implementation of the medical marijuana identification card program and distribution of identification cards to qualified patients and their caregivers.
If approved, the program will initially operate six hours a day, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The County Department of Public Health expects to serve approximately 250-300 patients and caregivers each year.
