Original Story Crestline, CA - As the United States celebrates its birthday over the Fourth of July weekend, Crestline celebrates its 103rd birthday with Jamboree Days 2009. The parade starts at 10 a.m. today with the street festival beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 6 p.m.

Biane secured an additional $2,000 to support the annual July 4 celebration sponsored by the Crestline Chamber of Commerce featuring music, food, games, and other attractions.
"The economic activity generated by Jamboree Days," Biane stated in a prepared news release, "is a huge boost for businesses in the Crestline area. I'm pleased the county can play a role in helping the chamber host another successful event for the community."
Lake Drive, the street where all the July 4 activity takes place, will close to through traffic at 9 a.m. and reopen at 7 p.m. tonight. ![]() Reggie Bannister and Friends will be performing at the ICS BEAT THE HEAT Chili Cook-Off at the Lake Gregory Ball Fields on Sunday, July 5.
