Mountain Twilight Music Festival July 31 (Update)Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater By Michael P. Neufeld Update - Wednesday 3:55 a.m. Fawnskin, CA - Organizers of The Big Bear Mountain Twilight Music Festival at the Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater on Saturday, July 31, report tickets remain for the concert.
Two-fer tickets for the 4 p.m. event are on sale online at MUSIC FESTIVAL TICKETS, at the Discovery Center and at the event gate.
Original Story Fawnskin, CA - The Big Bear Mountain Twilight Music Festival returns to the Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater on Saturday, July 31, starting at 4 p.m. The event runs until 9 p.m.
The event offers up a blue plate special of bluegrass, folk, Celtic, country, western and classic rock for only $25 for two adults. Teen prices are $10 for ages 13-18 and children 12 and under along with music loving pets on a leash admitted free.
Headlining the show is Nathan McEuen, Scott Gates and Chuck Hailes featuring originals and classics with a bluegrass twist and a nod to the past.
Sligo Rags, one of the top acoustic bands in LA and two-time winner of Orange County's Best Folk Band returns offering Celtic music with just a sprinkling of bluegrass, country, and jazz textures.
LONESOME OTIS New to the stage will be Lonesome Otis, a hard-driving classic bluegrass band with an appreciation for a slightly more contemporary feel. Lonesome Otis is a real favorite on the bluegrass and C/W scene.
BRUCE GUYNN & BIG RAIN Bruce Guynn & Big Rain, another new band debuting at the musicfest, is heard on radio stations throughout the world. This collaboration and sound has taken them to six continents to perform. Their music has consistently been on the top of various radio and music charts in the USA, Europe, and Australia.
SPECIAL NOTES Event proceeds will benefit the student-led Peace Gardens program in Bear Valley schools founded and managed by, The Lighthouse Project of Big Bear, a nonprofit partner to the National Forest Association.
Event gates will open at 3 P.M. with the music of the Kevin Rhue Band, featuring classic rock sounds to officially open the fest at 4 P.M. Parking is free at the Discovery Center; overflow is planned at Meadows Edge with free continuous shuttle.
Bench seating is limited and first-come; bring your own beach chairs to enjoy the laid-back music-fest in the Amphitheater's open and casual seating.
Co-producers of the 2010 Music in the Mountains summer concert series, the National Forest Association and Coldwell Banker, the Tim Wood Group, thank their returning co-sponsors for their charter support of the Music in the Mountains program. Lending their support since inception are the City of Big Bear Lake, Northwoods Resort, Big Bear Lake Resort Association and Big Bear Mountain Resorts.
