Court documents show Waddoups had refused to meet with the Probation Department to discuss his status and sentencing was delayed.
Waddoups has been in custody at the Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center awaiting sentencing for the burglary of a Crestline residence in December 2007.
Update — April 22 4:50 a.m.
San Bernardino, CA — San Bernardino Superior Court Judge Michael Dest has delayed the sentencing of the so-called Bumper Sticker Burglar. Court documents show Waddoups has refused to talk with the County Probation Office about the circumstances of his case.
Judge Dest ordered Waddoups held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga until a new sentencing hearing can be held on May 12 at 8:30 a.m. in Department S-23.
At one point during Monday's hearing, Judge Dest summoned attorneys to the bench for a brief off-the-record meeting.
Dest then referred the case once again to the Probation Office for an interview with Waddoups who entered a plea bargain to burglary charges relating to an incident on December 16 in the 400 block of Arbula Drive in Crestline.
Original Story
San Bernardino, CA -– The so-called Bumper Sticker Burglar Daniel Evan Waddoups, 30, was due to be sentenced Monday in San Bernardino Superior Court on one count of burglary relating to the robbery of a Crestline residence.
On March 20, Superior Court Judge Arthur Harrison accepted a plea bargain from Waddoups who got the bumper sticker burglar moniker relating to the robbery in the 400 block of Arbula Drive on December 16.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies received a tip from a Crestline resident that a car eventually traced to Waddoups had a red and white bumper sticker that read: "Don't Steal. The government hates competition." The alert resident also provided officers with a description of the suspect including the type of cap he was wearing.
During an area check, Deputy Gil Flores spotted a late model sedan in the 24000 block of Pioneer Camp Road with the bumper sticker and observed Waddoups transferring items from the vehicle into a residence including an expandable ladder sticking out the back window.
As Deputy Flores observed the vehicle with the distinctive bumper sticker, Waddoups came down the stairs of an apartment complex on Pioneer Camp Road, a short distance from the burglarized house.
Deputy Flores called for back up and before it could arrive, the officer determined the suspect may have spotted him and confronted Waddoups at the side of the vehicle packed with items taken from the Arbula Drive address.
During the subsequent investigation, deputies recovered the ladder, a chain saw, portable compressor, fax machine, assorted tools and countless other items in the suspect's vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded and towed by Armada Towing to the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station.
During the March 20 pre-preliminary conference, Judge Harrison admonished Waddoups to appear for sentencing TODAY (April 21) and released him from custody on his own recognizance.
