Crestline, CA – The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Marijuana Eradication Team (MET) and other law enforcement agencies have been conducting a series of marijuana busts in the local area the past couple of days.
MET officers, who were assisted by the Sheriff's Department's Aviation Unit, spent portions of Monday and Tuesday in the Crestline area.

On Monday, detectives seized 3,369 marijuana plants at an outdoor grow southwest of Dart Canyon Road near Houston Creek. A news release issued by the department reported the mature plants ranged in size from 2 to 4-feet and were valued in excess of $11 million.
MET detectives received information that suspicious activity was occurring in the area where the marijuana was located and an aerial surveillance was conducted to pinpoint the grow location.
During their investigation, according to the release, detectives located a rifle and irrigation pipes that provided water to the plants from Houston Creek.
On Tuesday, MET detectives seized 3,460 marijuana plants in the Lake Silverwood area. The mature plants were from 4 to 7-feet in height and valued in excess of $12 million.
Sheriff's Department Aviation Division personnel observed the grow while on routine patrol. Upon arrival at the grow, detectives located a base camp and irrigation pipes providing water to the plants from a nearby creek.
No arrests have been made in either seizure.

Meanwhile, the Drug Enforcement Administration's Los Angeles office was also busy conducting operations in San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles counties. A news release issued by the DEA indicated about 5,600 marijuana plants were seized, four individuals were arrested and agents recovered $15,000 in cash.
Officers confiscated 1,300 plants from an indoor grow at a residence in the 14200 block of Larkspur Street in Hesperia.
