Running Springs, CA - On Saturday, October 11, the Arrowhead Area California Highway Patrol will host its annual open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a variety of displays and activities for the entire family.

CHIPper will be on hand to greet visitors and is a great photo opportunity for kids. There will also be a bounce house and a balloon-shaping clown. Don't miss the CHP K9 demonstrations – they were a huge hit last year.

A variety of CHP enforcement vehicles will be on hand for a close-up view, including the new Dodge Charger. The CHP Force Option Training Simulator (FOTS) will be available and is sure to be a popular activity, allowing the public to experience shoot-don't-shoot scenarios.

For the third year there will be a display of some of the finest local classic cars. There is no fee for entering the car show, just call the CHP office in Running Springs for space reservations at (909) 867-2791. Ask for officer Gary Fernandez.
