Grow Your Business Green Workshop
Tips on Waste Reduction and Recycling

Lake Arrowhead, CA – Local businesses are invited to a free workshop on Tuesday, May 20 that is designed to reduce their carbon footprint and possible make some green while they're at it!
The "Help Create Wealth by Greening Your Business" workshop is sponsored by San Bernardino County Solid Waste Management and the Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce and will be held at Fire Station 91 (301 Highway 173) from noon until 1:30 p.m. Reservation are required for the no-cost lunch.

The workshop will feature Stephanie Barger, executive director of the Earth Resource Foundation, who will address the importance of changing waste into resources. Ms. Barger will reveal how any business can benefit by incorporating The Triple Bottom line—People, Planet and Profit into their corporate culture.

Lake Arrowhead Chamber President/CEO Lewis Murray urges local firms to "come and learn about the green practices you can implement at your place of business to both preserve the environment and reduce your waste disposal costs."
The 90-minute seminar will help businesses and organizations improve their resource management by showing how to develop and implement waste reduction plans and programs. Featured companies will be presenting their various waste reduction programs and what worked or didn't work.
Murray noted that participants will find out how waste reduction affects their place of work, as well as save and even make some green! He also explained that any size business or organization can benefit from attending the free workshop.
