Crestline, CA – The 29th Annual Mountain Kids Christmas Fund Fund-raising Party and spaghetti dinner began at 6 p.m. December 5, at the San Moritz Lodge in Crestline.

The annual party will raise funds for the food and toy distribution, slated for Lake Gregory Elementary School on Saturday, December 20. It will include music, dancing, auction items, and opportunity drawings.

Every year since 1994, the Ted Roy Foundation and Lake Arrowhead Country Club have contributed to Mountain Kids Christmas. Last year, Roy Rob presented a check to Heather Sanchez and Rick Beck to help purchase toys for distribution to local children. (Photo by Michael P. Neufeld.)

During the evening's festivities, several check presentations will be made, with checks coming from the Ted Roy Foundation and Lake Arrowhead Country Club. Since 1994, those two organizations have contributed over $75,000 to Mountain Kids Christmas, according to spokesperson Rob Roy.

The spaghetti dinner is prepared by firefighters and paramedics from the Crest Forest Fire Protection District.

Since the 1980 Panorama Fire, the Mountain Kids Christmas Fund has provided new toys, and food baskets, for over 5,000 families living within the boundaries of the Rim of the World Unified School District.

"This could not have been accomplished without the generosity, and endless hours of work, by all the volunteers," stated Heather Sanchez from Mountain Kids Christmas.

This year, online registration materials are available at http://www.mtnkids.org. Volunteers are still needed for this year's distribution. Call Heather Sanchez, at (909) 338-0180, for additional information on the dinner or distribution event.

"We need all distribution day volunteers to sign up prior to the event," Sanchez concluded.
