Water Conservation Topic of Calendar Contest

Lake Arrowhead Community Services District

By Michael P. Neufeld
Thursday, May 8, 2008

Lake Arrowhead, CA – All students attending Grandview Elementary, Lake Arrowhead Elementary, Mary Putnam Henck and Rim of the World High School (or any other private or home schools within the District's service area) are encouraged to use their creative drawing abilities to share knowledge of water conservation and ideas of how everyone in the mountain communities can save water.

The contest theme is, "Use Less Water in 2009!" The deadline for the contest is Friday, May 30, 2008.

Entries will be accepted from Kindergarten through 12th grades. Entries will not be returned and will remain the property of the Lake Arrowhead Community Services District.

Entries must be drawn horizontally on an 8.5" x 11" (letter size) white paper.

Every student that enters a poster in the contest will receive a Certificate of Participation. Winning posters will be on display at the District Office and on the District's website at www.lakearrowheadcsd.com. Winning posters will be featured in the 2009 Water Conservation Calendar. Winners will be honored during a District Board of Directors meeting in September.

For more information, please call the District's Community Information Office at (909) 336-7115 or email PublicInfo@lakearrowheadcsd.com. Visit http://www.lakearrowheadcsd.com for more information and entry forms!
