Can you put her in the bathroom? That should give you enough room for a litter box. & I just used a pie tin for one, not a regular cat box. That may be too big for her to get in or out. & DON'T use the clumping cat litter!!!!

I went to Rim Animal Hospital and they thought I should put her back with her mom and I agree even if it's temporary. She needs what her mom can offer her, warmth and neutrients (spelling?). I feel alot beter about this. I was so stressed and my 2 yr old daughter kept hitting the box and throwing toys in with her making her REALLY stressed.

Just make sure that the mom comes back!! If you've had the kitten for a while, & if the mom's a feral cat, then she may not come back once she's discovered the kitten is gone. I still think that you should attempt to trap the mom & if you can confine her somewhere, keep her until the kitten's old enough to be weaned, spay the mom & rehome the kitten.

AND it's a very good time to teach your daughter how to behave around animals. DH grew up around cats & dogs & was pretty gentle with them when he was a toddler.

Yeah, I will make sure the mom comes back. I will do something about getting them both fixed even if they are/will both be ferral. My first daughter is SO gental with every animal and insect. My second one, on the other hand, is just naturally rough and doesn't think sometimes before she acts even if she means well.

The mom's back and she hesitently lets me pet her. If someone can offer her and the kitty a temporary space (so the mom can't go in and out and so the kitty can grow in safety, that would be great.
