So the day I took Wilson into the clinic from living outside my house, I got home and a brand new cat had shown up. She was a big fluffy torti, but is now pretty emaciated and has huge mats in her fur. I have always assumed she was feral like other 2 ferals, as she wouldn't let you get anywhere near her. But tonight I went outside because I heard a loud crying. It was her sitting on my front porch screaming and crying- I began talking to her and she was telling me all about it. My concern was maybe she was having kittens, so I brought a carrier out in hopes of luring her in. She came right up and into the carrier and is now in my bathroom eating, purring and crying. She doesn't feel like she has had kittens- her belly isn't that big and her nipples aren't inlarged. I don't know if she is injured or what, but she is obviously happy to be inside. I don't know what has brought on this sudden change in events, but of course I will be taking her to the animal hospital tomorrow to get checked out and spayed if needed. If anyone could foster her after a few days there until I can get her into a home- please let me know! When I left Wilson there for a little over a week- it cost me almost $500! Im still working off my bill. She is just a little shy, but is very sweet and purrs loudly as soon as I pet her. I think she has been outside, maybe a stray, for a while now, but seems very happy to be safe indoors. Tara reliablepetcare@aol.com or 338-8502

Oh Tara, I wish I could help! What about once she's got a clean bill of health you ask at FF&F if she could stay in the other cat house until a home is found?

I swear someone has my address and keeps dropping these cats off when they hear theres an opening...
I was talking to the neighbors this morning and they said in February a family several houses down moved out (lost their house) and they believed she was left behind. She stayed at that house crying for a week and then started coming over here for food- it makes since because she was originally big and beautiful and she is now skinny and her fur is all matted. She is so sweet and is eating, drinking and using the catbox. I am on my way to the vet right now- Im hoping maybe she is already spayed. I am in desperate need of a foster home- I know what are the odds of that?!

RPC, I can't really get involved in this, as you know. But I've got a spare room above the garage she could stay in. (Just don't tell DH!! )

So Dr.Becker thinks she is about 2 years old- She doesn't think she is spayed. She has an abcess on her hind foot, so she will have to stay at Rim on antibiotics until she can be spayed and vaccinated. She is very sweet and mellow. And a bit of a "little lady". She is definantly an indoor kitty... Still looking for a home.

Oh my gosh...she is soooo pretty! We just put our little tortie to sleep, old age! I wish we could take her, but still have 3 cats and am working long hours right now. SHOOT!

Well Morning, just think about it- she will be at Rim for at least 7-10 days- your more than welcome to drop by and visit..:)
I went to visit with her today- she isn't used to much attention and is shy for about a minute- then her purr motor cranks up.. she is so sweet.

My last kitty came from RFAH, a little calico found running on Baseline...I wonder if you were one of the techs that found her. I'm afraid of the cats not getting along, it took a long time for the older cats to accept the younger cats. I'll think about it.

I have brought quite a few animals up from DTH, but don't remember your kitty. Im sure I have seen you there if you bring your pet in. I only work there pt now, doing the pet sitting biz full time. MHS is working on getting her out of there, so no worries- don't feel pressured... I would love to see her go to a good home- It was just so weird how she acted completely wild since being left behind, then suddenly came to me for help when she was injured... she deserves to be someone's little princess...

she's absolutely beautiful - wish i could - but have so much going on in my life and already have a houseful of kitties & doggies. (I HAVE to stop looking at cats & dogs needing homes - or I may need a new home myself )
