Reverse 911 System Test
From: San Bernardino Sun
Mountain residents to receive test emergency calls SAN BERNARDINO MOUNTAINS -- About 45,000 homes will receive automated phone calls next week during a test of the county's emergency notification system. The reverse 911 system test is being conducted to ensure agencies and residents in the San Bernardino and San Gabriel mountains are prepared for the 2007 fire season, county officials said. The test, conducted by the San Bernardino County Fire Department and the Mountain Area Safety Task Force, is particularly needed due to the heightened fire risk because of the prolonged drought. Homes from Mt. Baldy to as far east as Forest Falls will receive calls starting Monday, county officials said. The system provides residents in an area pre-recorded emergency information and can leave messages on answering machines. Residents do not need to respond to the calls.

Does anyone know how to get your cell # on the list?
I haven't had a land line in 2 years. I am strictly cell for phone and have a broadband access card for internet.
No wires....
any suggestions?

Maybe try contacting the San Bernardino County Fire Department or the Mountain Area Safety Task Force....

Might be easier and more efficient to trust a couple of friends with land line service to call you when and if the calls go out!
