Fishing

Bought a new boat and took it for the maiden voyage yesterday, Decided to brave the early morning line and arived at 4:00am. Dropped the boat in the water and was speeding mw way around silverwood by 6:20. We decided to drop a line in and within 5 minutes had a 6 pound stiper on the line. We caught alot of fish throughout the day, Most were too small and we threw them all back. Where are the good places to catch fish around silverwood. We heard it was near the spillway, near the dam.

I have never been to Silverwood, So I think I got lucky with the big one, Any suggestions would be nice, Bait choices would be nice too. We caught them on the northern edge of the lake, You could look up the canyon wall and see the guard rail for the 138. Silverwood is a really nice lake and seems fairly clean. We have reservations for the near future, But with a new boat, was nice to take the chance even though we were up before the fish it was worth it.
