I'm trying to get a feel for anyone wanting to get involved in re-opening the Siberia MTB Trail over in Big Bear. We have a group of folks that regularly ride Skyline (2N10) and all the associated trails on the south ridge of BB and are interested in getting the trail either re-opened or get permission from the forest service to rehab it. So far, we have a sizable enough group together that we can do the rehab work if we can permission. If interested, email ghixon@verizon.net.

Are you talking about past Gunsight? Pretty wild trail from the couple of friends who have been down there. Would take a lot of effort to get that back open.

That's the one. We have been down there a few times in the past few months and you're right, it's an overgrown mess alright. We're not looking for an overnight solution, we just want to start adding (or reclaiming) what was already there.

I don't know when you're doing the work, or how far down the trail I can get before suffering severe trail angst at getting back out, but I'll give you an email and see if I can solicit a couple of friends to help.
