So that people don't have to wade thru the other thread to find important info, here it is in a nutshell.

Sale Will be held Saturday, May 17th, at the corner of Hwy 18 and Kuffel Canyon in the SKYFOREST area of the mountains. Parking lot is the parking lot of the NEW LIFE Chiropractor building, and it's right across the street from ROCKY'S restaurant.

IF WE HAVE ENOUGH STUFF AND ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS, WE MAY HOLD THE SALE OVER TILL SUNDAY AS WELL. That decision won't be made until late in the day Saturday, so check here late on the 17th to find out if it will be on Sunday as well.

We will start setting up at 5am on Saturday. We can use help to set up. We'll be transporting items from the different storage locations, and will need help pricing. At the end of the day we will need help packing up as well ... sorry we can't give you a good idea of closing time ... if we're making money, we'll stay open late in the afternoon/early evening.

IF YOU ARE DONATING STUFF, it would be helpful if you price your items as you box them up, ESPECIALLY if the items are collectibles we may not have a clue about for pricing. General price guide for garage sales is half OR LESS of the original sales price if the item is still in good condition.

It would be GREAT if you are donating if you could just bring it TO the sale on Saturday, May 17th, so that we don't have to move things twice ... the EARLIER the better ... we'll be setting up at 5am.

We will need tables ... if you have a folding table we can use for the sale, BE SURE YOUR TABLE HAS YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION (name, phone number, address) TAPED TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TABLE so that we can get tables back to owners.

If you are helping WITH the sale, bring your own chair and snacks and hats and sunscreen. ANYTHING that is NOT FOR SALE like a chair you expect to sit in, NEEDS TO HAVE A NOT FOR SALE tag ON the item.

A lot of this information is in the WONDERFUL story Michael Neufeld did for us ... unfortunately, the story is sort of lost in the list of stories now. Be sure to check it out, it's GREAT!

FREE CLOSET SPACE ... just clean out your closets and bring us your cast offs and think of the space YOU will gain!

We also need people to bring grocery bags to the sale... both paper and plastic ... to bag people's purchased items.

Hey, do you still need volunteers? Hubby is going to be DTH that day and I don't have any plans. 5am isn't my cuppa, but I could be there by 9am and can hang the day as long as I can sit? I'm also a great sales person.....

That would be great, thank you! I don't have a transportable chair. I was thinking maybe you all planned to have chairs there? With my weight loss I can stand and walk around a lot more than I used to be able to, but I don't want to push it or I'm sore for a few days after.

It will be nice to meet you as well. I got to meet Bashful this time. I think she was the only brand new one I met this time. Oh, no Jules! How could I forget! She's so tiny and cute I wanted to just put her in my pocket and take her home!!!

Yikes ... would you guys mind "chatting back and forth" in the OLD garage sale thread titled FUND RAISING GARAGE SALE, it should be right near THIS thread... the reason we had to start the READER'S DIGEST version was because people couldn't find the important info about time and place in the old thread because there were so many pages! a LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO PULL UP THE PREVIOUS PAGES.

If you could click on the words 'remove message" under each of your posts ON THIS THREAD, it would get this back to staying on ONE page with the pertinent info about the sale ... call me the garage sale police... hate me ... just don't hit me!

VERY IMPORTANT INFO ... as 2 of us were pricing things today, Broom brought up the fact that there won't be ANY bathroom available in the early morning hours!!! So... Keep that in mind as you consider drinking your coffee in the morning or drinking water!

I'll be coming by around 7:00 a.m. to help set up and I'll be bringing a few more items to donate. If you guys need additional help I can hang around for a while. I'll be sure to have my cell phone browser on ROTW so I can get my morning fix.

THE LOCATION OF THE SALE IS A VERY SPOTTY CELL PHONE SIGNAL AREA ... SO BE SURE IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A CALL TO SEE IF YOUR CELL PHONE WORKS BEFORE RELYING ON IT IF A BABYSITTER MAY NEED TO GET IN TOUCH OR SOMETHING ELSE IMPORTANT. ((((SOMETIMES)))) YOU CAN WALK ACROSS THE STREET TO GET A SIGNAL TO CALL OUT, BUT THAT WON'T DO YOU ANY GOOD IF SOMEONE IS TRYING TO CALL YOU.
