I have a senior and a freshman at RIM and yesterday was a huge eye opener to both. Thank you to all the students, teachers, paremedics and firefighters who participated in this truely memorable day. Timing could not have been better, since prom is this weekend. Anyone elses kids shaken by what they saw???

That's great to hear about your kids gaining awareness. I lost a friend in high school to drunk driving. Such a waste.

My son is a Senior and before lunch today I got a phone call with a teary eyed football player on the phone calling to tell me "I love you Mom and I hope you are having a good day". He tells me this all the time but it was even more special today. Great program and I hope to see it again at RIM.

I just read the alerts that followed this drill as though it were a real occurrance. Wow! I got tears in my eyes. The works "setting up a morgue" put me over. It's an eye-opening read...

Click on the link at the end of the story and read what a couple of people have said. It made me sad. I believe the postings are from younger people. I posted a paragraph from the AMA regarding the effects of alcohol on teens and provided a link, it was not well received.
I pray this is the mindset of only a minority.

My son, Matt, played the Grim Reaper during the two day event. He was very impressed with all the "actors"/students as well as the Sheriff and Fire officials who helped run the event.

It takes an unbelievable amount of time, effort, and money to put of this event, and the community really is supportive of it. Check out the gallery and see some pictures of the event.

Thank you to everyone who supported this year's "Every 15 Minutes" production and simulation. we could not have made it without all of the communities support.
Those two days were the most intense days of my life, and I pray that it was as much of an impact for the students and community as it was for me.
