Before I make up flyers today, I wanted to post on here.

Last night our 2 year old rat terrier/chihuahua mix dog split from our yard. HE is wearing tags, 2 in fact that have both our old address as well as our new address and our phone humber. He is black and white and small. He will bark at most people, but he is a sweetie! His name is Lefty and he belongs to my 4 year old. HE went missing from Brookside in VOE around 11:30 Sunday night. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if anyone finds him please call us!

My husband and my son are out looking for him. I have made flyers to be put up today. I sure hope that this all works. My son is devestated!

I have put up over 150 signs in Crestline. We have called all of the shelters and humane societies. I have registered with them as well to see if anyone has found him. I just hope that someone isn't hoarding him in their home and trying to keep him for themselves. I know there are people out there like that. I am keeping my head up and positive, even though I know he's gone somewhere. Thank you for all who are helping and caring!

I hesitate to mention this, as it is highly speculative, but a few weeks ago I posted on here, looking for a friend's dog, Braddox. He was found eventually, by incrediblly remote chance; he had been dognapped by a family of illegals who live at the bottom of Brookside in VOE.
I don't know if they've had any opportunity to snatch another small dog, and I'm sure that there are 100 other more likely scenarios, but this unwelcome group of thieves living in my neighborhood deserves to be looked at with a critical eye, now that they have already proven to be less than desirable neighbors, prone to theft.
I would also note that the flyers posted on the intersection of Oak and Brookside have been torn down... the thieves happen to live right there (the house with the Jeep with the flat tire).
Holler back if you want more info... I will be keeping my eyes peeled for Lefty.

KDog,
Thank you. I noticed that the flyers were torn down Tuesday. My son and I walked through the neighborhood and picked up the ones we saw. My husband put them back up yesterday. I will DEFINATELY check them out today. Someone called yesterday and said they thought they saw him by Johnny's. We looked but, nothing. I so hope we find him.......yesterday my beloved cat of 10 years died in my arms. This is just by FAR the worst week I have ever had!

Thanks to all who are helping!

I'm sorry.
Do you have a picture of him that you could post here? You could either use one of the online photo sites or email it to Vicki & she can post it in the gallery.
Have you been calling Devore every day? They're not known for their great communicating skills & it would even be best to go there & physically check every couple days.

Is he more black than white? I just looked at Devore's site & there's a dog that was brought in May 5th.
ID#A389303

I am a male, black Chihuahua - Smooth Coated.

The shelter thinks I am about 6 years old.

I have been at the shelter since May 06, 2008.

This information is less than 1 hour old.
Back For more information about this animal, call:
San Bernardino County - Devore Shelter at (909) 887-8055

This is a slim chance but I saw a chi on Laurel Ln today who was with a bigger dog. After I passed, I thought...."Hmmm, I wonder if that's Lefty". I don't recall the exact color of the dog but I know that both dogs were loose. You may want to drive around that area and call him.
Good luck.

If you don't know how to post a photo of him, you can email one to me at LLknorr@msn.com.

Also, Petharbor.com is a great site to look for him at the shelters..

Thank you guys for everything! We have gone to the house mentioned, and they said they didn't have him. Didn't hear anything either.
I will check out Laurel Ln also! Thank you! We have checked the shelter sites everyday. I just hope that we find him. I pray that God will being some happiness back in our lives!

Bunny- I can't post it here because my comp has firewalls because of work, I will e-mail you the photos if you would be so kind as to post it for me! Thank you!

Dogdawn,

Thank you so much for looking for me! Unfortunately, that is not him. They have one that looks like him but they said he was found 4/30/08. I am still very hopeful! I didn't think people cared as much as they do, and when I come on here and check that people are helping me, It gives me faith!

Think POSITIVE!!! KNOW that he'll come home!!
Sent: Wednesday, May 14, 2008 10:34 AM
I truly hope that he will. Whoever has him thought the same, but hopefully they will know that a little kid misses him terribly and will let him come home! I have hope and faith!

Thanks.

In the past couple of months, two of my friends have lost dogs... both were found, healthy and happy, after being missing for almost three weeks each.

My point is, don't despair because it's been a few days... there's still a great liklihood that he'll be found soon...

Also, a lot of people are looking out, too. I heard some teenagers walking down the street the other day (on Oak Lane), calling for Lefty, and discussing how they'd like to find him for you. Maybe they are motivated by a reward, or maybe because they good kids wanting to help, but I can tell you that your posted signs are effective, and that many people really do care. We're looking out for Lefty... I think you'll get him back soon.

KDog,
Thank you! I don't know who you are, but I know you are a friend because you care! Thank you for letting me know that people are looking.

when my cat was gone, years ago, she came home after 3 weeks. I believe that in time he will be found. It's frustrating that it's taing time, but I know that in time good things will happen. Thanks again, for all of you that are helping and caring enough to let me know!
