What's happening to this group lately? Haven't heard anything for six months...Any of you ever listen to Wake the Bard, the Celtic/folk/pub band in Green Valley Lake?

Ah ha! I found you again, Roger. Wake the Bard played at the Meadow in Santa's Village on August 20th. Something different than the usual thing. I liked them a lot! We mostly get R&R or Hard Rock, but they were something different for a change. I dig that hammer dulcimer!

All right, you found me, but where is Leisure Shores Seniors? Are these people still in existance? Anybody know?

Well I checked both the white and yellow pages and could not find a listing...Maybe a flying saucer captured them--extraterrestrial abductions, tell Art Bell!

http://www.green-valley-lake.com/Calendar.htmIf you like "Wake the Bard," several of their members have a jam session this Saturday afternoon in Green Valley Lake. I've been attending with my harp and it's been a lot of fun!

Hi All
Carol, thanks for posting about our Jam, which is today. For more Clarification we, Wake the Bard, are an Celtic Band. We love playing and we host a monthly Jam in Green Valley Lake at the clubhouse from 2-6. Schedule of dates and a listing of the music we usually play can be found here
http://www.green-valley-lake.com/wake_the_bard.htm. All musicians, instuments and listeners are invited.
We have a lot of fun. Last month Carol shared with us the music for "Shady Grove" and we have been working on it ever since to add to our usual song list. Thanks Carol. We love playing with you!

Carol, if you play the Irish harp with Wake the Bard, then I talked to your husband last month at the September Jam in the clubhouse. I wrote down his (and yours) phone number, looked for it a week later, but couldn't find it. I'm an organ buff. Don't give the number out here, we are very busy today preparing for an Oktoberfest party tomorrow, but I'll try to sneak away for an hour to see Wake the Bard today.

So is this group now defunct? No postings for over a year? Want to start up again?
