I will be more than happy to point out your mistakes Vivki! Just call me NaziTink! though someone may have to point me in the right direction, I'm a fairly newbie (3 years) in BB!

Vicki, it isn't a question of getting things 'wrong' (you are our hero, you get nothing 'wrong'), it is just a question of being unfamiliar with areas, and particularly, the local jargon for some areas. You know how we 'mountain folk' are about that!

Best example I can give is the morning I was the only one on in Incident Posting when the Grass Fire started - I was posting what was coming over the scanner, totally flying blind, and put "Deer Lodge" Park in quotes, because I didn't know it was a neighborhood, I thought it was a park, LOL. I felt like a complete idiot, later, but also was afraid at the time I was not giving the folks down there the info they needed because I was unfamiliar with the area. (Thank God you showed up...)

But yes, the menu at left is confusing for people, and hard for them to determine where to read/post, not knowing difference between Communities and Chat.

Me thinks TINK will find much joy in pointing out errors.

Thanks Maggie - I guess we need to just admit we are human and are subject to making a boo-boo every now and then. We just need our readers remember that we are mere mortals - and ask that they let us know when there is a mistake - kindly without lectures. Again, we cannot learn without knowing we have something incorrect.

And a little off topic, but....

I'm not sure that everyone knows there is a "live" chat feature also. http://rimoftheworld.net/chat

It hasn't quite caught on yet - but there have been a few people visit it. Currently there are three rooms... As Scott described them, "The first will be a General Room for people to drop in and ask questions or say "hi" – sort of a lobby. We'll also have an Emergency Room. This is for crisis information. Fires. Floods. Lost Dogs. Critical things. Things that matter. And third, we'll have an Event Room. This room is for special chats. We'll schedule Town Hall style meetings or general get-togethers. And, if your group wants to hold a special public chat, let us know, and we'll gladly let you use our room."

Those chat messages are not stored - only the last few posts are displayed. They do not appear in the "Buzz" feature....

I know there are more things in the works... stay tuned!
