Those of you whose mothers have passed away, etc. What are you guys doing today? Anything going on today anywhere?

Has your mother passed, Roger? Mine died when I was 9 years old. I don't even remember a Mother's Day with her. My stepmother isn't even worthy of the term "human" much less "mother", but that's whole other drama.......

I'm working - this day will always be more about my mom than about me being a mom. The kids made me MD cards, I took them out for breakfast and then over to their dad's house (it's his weekend), and now I'm working and looking forward to a bubble bath and a glass of wine tonight. Thanks for asking! Very sweet of you!

We have a son, age 30, living in Pittsburgh. He's working today, so we haven't heard from him. I sure his mother would definitely appreciate a call, though....Peg, which is your house near the ballfield? I was there for 3 of the 4 games held yesterday at the field next to the snackbar....My mother died in 1988, my wife's mother died in 1995. Neither of them are buried near here.....I just thought there might be others who are kind of in our category. I bet all the restaurants are full today, or kids are visiting their mom's etc. Everything around here is deadly quiet....

My birth mother passed away 11 years ago. My adopted mother passed away 13 years ago. I miss them both so much....but today is the day I let my kids "baby" me

Now if our son would just call his mother........kids these days.....He might be at work, but has access to two phones on his desk, he works for Verizon in one of their business offices, handling inbound calls from buyers, businesses, etc.

Good for you, Willow. I hope you get to feeling about 1 month old by the time it's done...
