Choc-A tune up never hurt anyway and sometimes, when parts must go, she can still purr just fine. A nice solid ride is comfy......sit back and let her get her work done.......the older models love a joy ride and you should too.

Sounds like its time to call the tow truck and have her hauled away. Maybe you can get $200 for her. That would put a down payment on a 1990 model, the German made ones are nice

I got busted, mine is better than new and wouldn't trade her for a Rolls Royce or any amount of money.

Funniest thread I have ever read here )

Usually if you just use some new paint and some bondo it helps for short periods. The cold starts in the mornings are what is tough to deal with. Just use the manual choke if needed. Helps also if you shift gears while driving her. Reverse still work? Also, shoot some sealant in that air valve that is leaking hot air;sealing that is a must.

If you had purchased the extended warranty package you could of at least had those headlights replaced.

My original 1958 model ejected this 1957 owner from the driver's seat, causing said owner to stumble onto his current 1964 beauty. This baby came with clear title since there was no previous owner. She's got everything anyone can ask for and some. She's peppy with plenty of spunk, extremely reliable, very seldom does it get temperamental and is a joy to spend all of my time with. I love my 1964 model, she's one of a kind.

Everyone knows that a 57 Chevy is the original classic car that everyone wants.
