Hi,
I just moved to the mountains about 3 weeks ago and am looking for a job closer to home. Currently I am a Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper, and I drive about 3 hours daily. I have QuickBooks and Microsoft knowledge as well as Quarterly Taxes. Please email me if interested in seeing my full resume. Thank-you.

friendly warning Beware of the current ad for IPR in Lake Arrowhead... she hires and fires her people monthly... not worth your trouble, she screams and abuses people and that is why her ad runs every other month, you have been warned..

Thank you poster for the iprla.com warning!
The person has changed the advertising for the job several times. (ie, now using iprla)But, anyone who has been there can recognize it. I don't know if there is a person alive with the patience to work there.

"her ad runs every other month"
It is a permanent ad! lol After we moved to the mountains, I was hired for this postion. Found out I was the fifth admin in about a two month period! I lasted twenty one days...I documented everything and when I quit I was awarded unemployement...that should tell you how bad it was!

If someone screams, yells and abuses their employees that is usually a sign that they are not in control and can not cope.
Perhaps she is in a business that requires more than her capability. Either way, it shows a total lack of professionalism. Loser!!!

Times are tough and abuse of employees seems to be becoming more common as they are so easily replaceable.
My daughter in law worked briefly at an unnamed retail establishment DTH for two weeks. The "training" consisted of throwing you out on the floor and if you made a mistake, you were escorted to the manager's office where he closed the door and berated you loudly for about 10 minutes.
The number of days you were scheduled to work depended not on sales of the product but on how many of those store loyalty/rewards cards you signed people up for. After you'd used up your family, most of your time was spent annoying shoppers for their name/address/email etc. to boost the mailing list for what was apparently their main outlet, the online shopping site (and whoever else they sold the information too).
The last straw was when they threatened to call the police because she had taken a hundred dollar bill on a sale and (as they do at every store I've ever seen) put it in the cash register drawer under that little tray, instead of in a special box they had for large bills, which only two people even knew about. She quit before my son punched the manager in the nose. She was too traumatized to even apply for unemployment and just wanted to forget the place ever existed.
Be careful out there, jobseekers. And be careful of which stores you give your personal information to as shoppers. I won't be signing up for any of those rewards cards any time soon.

Yes, stay clear of "IPRLA" ads...I worked there as well. If only everyone actually knew how bad that place really is.

LOL moon....how many unpaid hours of overtime did you guys have? I believe I had seventeen hours, labor board took care of that!
Sent: Sunday, September 13, 2009 02:19 AM
blkbromstk funny you should mention that...I have about 80 hours of unpaid overtime from there.

funny, I had to take them to the labor board to get my money and what a pack of tails they like to drag behind them... stay clear of IPRLA.
I wonder if they are legally allowed to run a business out of the home like they do?

CMR is a real estate Investment Company.
They Currently own Bixby Ranch, for those of you who don't know that is prim surfing coastal property in Orange County. One of the last untouched open rural areas in OC. There was an Article about them purchasing it in, I believe in 2007. They are currently trying to work contracts to build there, exclusive homes of course. This is going to be a battle for them for a long time to come. The owners are very well known in the real estate world and like to sue.
I actually interviewed with them. It was an interesting experience. They were interested in someone who could hash through their legal documents and respond/interpret for them. I got such a quiz and 3rd degree, the only thing missing was the bright light over my head. I got asked every question known to man kind about real estate. It lasted almost 2 hours. Then, when I told him I have a daughter he got irritated and started telling me how he expected hours that were not conducive to being there for my kid at all. I was done at that point. I'll take the commute, thank you.

rotflmaopimp.... I worked for Linda and Howard too... lasted over 90 days... had to take them to the labor board too... how do these people keep a business in that gated area of North Shore, Lake Arrowhead to begin with, and why do they keep getting away with the overtime theft and employee abuse... IPR is a bs company that Linda tries to use to fulfill her low self esteem issues and she is just draining her father's money, she is a total clown ... Howard is another story... he has a bit of business savvy... much more than Linda... much much more... but he pushed one of my employees and grabbed another's and that was it... the fight was on and I was gone.
