So, wasn't the hearing for the new owners of Lake Arrowhead Village vs. Stater Brothers November 6th? Anyone heard what happened, and what precisely it was all about?

It was continued until January

It was a case management conference.
It is so the judge can find out what is going on and pretend he/she is controlling the case. It also allows the attorneys to bill the client for a court appearance.

Thanks.....like a lot of people who live up here, I'm really curious about this court case....not that I really expect Stater's to be going anywhere...but if they wanna bring up a Trader Joe's or a World Food Market............just sayin'....

I'd like to think we could support a Trader Joes. I know I'd do all my shopping there as would people I know.

Sheeeeesh! We couldn't even support a Starbucks. How could we support a Trader Joe's? I mean.... I'd love one, but let's be real.

I'd be happy to just have a Trader Joe's at the bottom of the hill. The closest is Redlands, as far as I know. One would do well over by the University maybe. It woud be great up here, but I concur, Jim. It would never survive.

Hey, I was in Stater's a little bit ago, and I heard two people talking about the concert series and one of them said that the new owners let Stew (Undem?) go. He and Mr. Coult did all of the booking of the shows. Is this true? Does this mean no more concerts next year? Could just be a rumor, but I know that's what I heard, that the new owners let Stew go.

Aw, here we go again...I finally have to post! Concerts are still on for next summer. More variety and at a better cost. Things are still moving forward and hopefully upward.
I follow this thread all the time and my thoughts are: You can please some of the people some of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time.
Let's hold some hope for our community and keep faith that the economy won't drown too many good people before it bounces back!

Thank you, 2Fumar. Are the new owners bringing in their own people for the shows next year, or were the people I overheard talking at Stater's the other day wrong and Stew was not released from his duties?
