Local Mountain Fires

1 structure fire, 2 units on it.

I went outside to see if this was big and I can't see the smoke. I'm on Dorn right above this basically. We haven't seen anything but have heard sirens. We didn't go further because we don't ever want to get in the way. Good to see that they got to it so quickly.

Thanks for the update. I've been checking and checking. Good to have word from someone over there.

You can smell the fire a bit and the alerts say it's in mop up. I'm sure I'll drive by it later.

What is wrong with people, btw? I'm browsing the alerts for the past few days and see at least three that said "illegal camp fire." Morons.

My question is, are they getting arrested or fined?

Not only that, what's with all the "structure fires"? There have been a few of those. People need to be careful and/or check their fireplaces. This effects everyone!!!!

Exactly! And I have some pretty jumpy kids right now. They hear sirens and wonder if they have to decide what to bring to grandma's again. It's stressful. There are so many more fires than I ever realized.

I know what you mean. I always have in my mind where everything is that I want to grab. I've even taken to keeping our important papers and a change of clothes in the car juct in case.

There are actually a lot fires that come and are gone just as quickly as they come because the firefighters rock. It's just that, right now, we are sitting on the edge of our seats from such a recent incident. Hope, there are many, many of us who are feeling exactly the same way. Don't feel alone.
