I would also file a complaint with your school district personnel office. My husband used to get Horace Mann through the Rialto Unified School District. If your adjuster knows they can loose their account with a whole school district, you will be in a better position to receive fair reimbursement.

They have violated the law! The "HOMEOWNER'S BILL OF RIGHTS of 2004". Is a law that protects homeowners. Please copy and print the Homeowner's Bill of Rights on http://www.insurance.ca.gov/consumer-alerts/2007newlawsno... and include it with your complaint form to the Insurance web site and your school district office. Good luck! We will be praying for you!

Yes, thank you. I've copied it and will attach it with my complaint. Again, this site is just the best!

I'm so glad that ROTW copied it for everyone! The Insurance Commissioner said on TV that ALL insurance companies have PLENTY of money to pay all claims! So we have to make them!

I'm always amazed at HOW much money they have, even when disasters hit. Didn't the news say that last year was one of their greatest years for profits?

They could teach the mortgage industry a thing or two.

The Insurance commissioner said they have to save a portion of all money received for disaster claims. And about the mortgage industry, no kidding...

For Mountain Area Fire Victims (all communities)

After much success and community appreciation for the last 'Rebuilding Meeting' we are holding another one this Saturday (11/10) from 1 to 3 p.m.

Guest Speaker Teri will share what she learned regarding INSURANCE ISSUES through her experience with both the Old FIre and Hurricane Wilma providing helpful information regarding procedures and processes. Saturday November 10th from 1pm - 3pm.

27482 North Bay Road (at the corner of Peninsula)

RSVP appreciated (but not required) @ 909.336.1965

Call or e-mail any questions or to get on our mailing list for updates. E-mail kory@prestigemountainhomes.com or annette@prestigemountainhomes.com

This is presented as a Community Service and is not in any way a sales event. Please help us spread the word to those who are in vital need of this information.

I too have Horace Mann and they refused to provide any help for evacuation. I called the state and filled out the paperwork, but have not heard anything.
