I'm confused (what's new?).

I have been getting mailings from LACSD candidates which I wrote off as mailing list mistakes. Now I notice that my sample ballot has the candidates listed.

Why do we vote when we are not part of LACSD? I heard from someone that even though we have our own water company, LACSD provided sewer connections. Not to my house!

What gives...Is it just easier to make a single ballot?

I don't know much about this being a newbie to the mountains, but I have a vague remembrance that Sky Forest was somehow tied to LACSD-maybe the wastewater?

http://www.lakearrowheadcsd.com/index.html

"The Lake Arrowhead Community Services District is a self governed Special District responsible for water supply to Lake Arrowhead, and wastewater services to Lake Arrowhead, Cedar Glen, Blue Jay, Twin Peaks, Deer Lodge Park, Rimforest and Skyforest. Most of these areas lie within the Arrowhead Lake and Grass Valley watersheds. The District operates two water treatment plants, 19 water pumping stations, two wastewater treatment plants, 21 wastewater pumping stations, 20 reservoir tanks and several hundred miles of pipelines."

Maybe you should ask this question in the Lake Arrowhead Forum. They would know!

Well, I think you got your answer in the Lake Arrowhead forum!

For other people who may have the same questions:

Well, I guess I understand why I get to vote, but we are not in fact hooked up to LACSD sewer lines...I don't know if anyone else in Skyforest is or not.

Thanks!
