There is a house with an open side on Arrowbear Road. Looks like the side my have been caved in. It is a red wooden house with coblestone that is about 5 houses up the road from the Beef Jerky store on Arrowbear Drive. Doesn't look like its occupied, but you can see stuff inside the house. Sorry, I can not make out the house number from the road and can not tell how to get to it. You can see it from the road though.

A roomate placed a call last week to the Sherrif Dept. Doesn't look like anyone has checked it out.

Anyone who has the owners info, please contact them ASAP. It has already rained and snowed since this was first spotted.

Thanks.

Now back to your regulary scheduled chatter.

I wonder if Mike was able to reach the owners. I believe this house has had problems in the past.

Hi, I'm the owner of the vandalized cabin and yes, the nice folks at Arrowbear Water contacted me. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH or I never would've known! A friend & I drove up on Sunday morning, pulled the door out of the snow, rebuilt the door frame, rehung the door and resecured it.

It appears that some kids were using it as a hangout -- they rearranged whichever furniture they liked and tossed everything else (including kitchen appliances) into the bathroom, 'redecorated' the interior (including knotty pine paneling) with fluorescent pink & green paint, then sprayed my fire extinguisher around inside until it was empty. It just made me sick to see how little regard they had for another's property!

On the bright side, I'm just so grateful to everyone who posted here and phoned so I could be notified and keep it from getting any worse, especially with another storm coming!

If anyone remembers when they first noticed the door knocked in or down, I'd sure appreciate knowing any details....
THANKS AGAIN!!!

That is absolutely horrible.

I only noticed it after I saw it on this board.

There has been some vandalism and graffitti in Running Springs... check the news section. I wonder if it matches what you found in your cabin.

Hi ihamplau,
Im really sorry about what happened to your house. It really upsets me about what happened due to peoples ignorace.

I noticed the change in your house about 6 days before posting it here. My roomate had called the sherrif's office that night that we first spotted it.
I pass by it every day on my way to work. I'm a passenger, so I get the opportunity to notice all the scenery and spotted the house right off.

Sorry it has been such a long time for me to reply to your post. I am glad that I was able to help at least keep your home from damages from mother nature.
