Do we have an active Neighborhood Watch program in Arrowbear? I’m starting to get envious of the Running Springs folks getting theirs in gear.

I recall some talk of it last year, but I worked the evening of the meeting and I don’t recall hearing any more about it. I have had a theft since then and with the possibilities of more unoccupied homes due to the economy, I am keenly interested in our community’s security.

That sounds like a great idea.
I have been concerned about a vehicle parked in front of a house on Arrowbear Dr. that seems to have been intentionally hit several times within a short time frame. I have seen and heard vehicles speed highly down that street as well.
Would be nice to get something started for this area.

We need to get it up & running again. Dick & Nancy Tucker turned it over to me, and then I ended up having some health problems which slowed me down quite a bit. (My apologies to all for that!)

We managed to get a meth dealer out of his house for good. He was selling that crap near our home. We were raising our granddaughter at the time, so I started making a TON of calls to the Sheriff. They responded magnificently!

Looks like I am going in for 1 or 2 surgeries in the near future, so if anyone is interested in helping me out or taking N.W. over, please email me at johnny at ravensfight dot net

Good morning AB!
At last nights meeting we learned which neighborhoods want to be included in the watch program by the various residents that showed up. Our next step is to set up a date (1st week of June), time and location (possibly the Hootman Center)for a meeting where the Sheriff's office will be present with the program info for us.
A flyer will be created with the next meeting information, we will take this flyer door to door asking our neighbors to participate and show up at the meeting. Last night using RS Coldwell Bankers street map (thank you for the copies!)we broke down which streets we will all cover.

Just a thought...maybe AB could join us? We could email you the flyer and hopefully your neighborhods will want to participate in the program and be at the meeting.

I would like to get involved somehow in neighborhood watch.I live in Arrowbear on the west side and live next to a house with tons of different traffic with adults and teen agers leaving trash at an empty cabin next door that they use as a parking lot, we suspect some of them are tweekers.I have been here a about 4 years and its usually quiet, this started about 10 months ago.I want to say something to these people but my other half warned me about retalliation.If any one has info post it here and Ill check back.

Just a reminder the neighborhood watch meeting is coming up next week. If you have not received a flyer the meeting is:

Friday June 6th,6:30pm at the Hootman Center. The Sheriff's department will be there to explain how we can proceed with forming and managing our own neighborhood watch programs. Bring your questions, suggestions, past experiences, etc. And most importantly bring your neighbors! With the cost of today's economy, fuel, food, and everyday living expenses we need to get to know our neighbors and watch out for each other's property

If your neighbors are doing a lot of drugs (as it seems) just set out a camera and get it on tape, and drop it off anonymously at the sherrif's station through mail, or I'll take it in...either way, let's get this crap out of here. If it's on video, then it's pretty hard to dispute. And if it is frequent, then it should be easy to catch. And it needs to stop! So don't shy away to afraid of retalliation...just don't let them know it was you!
