At first we were told there was a water leakage and "mold" issue. Then the story changed to "the lease is up" (it's actually not up for two more years). I've had my P O box here for 25 years. It looks like my neighbors just rolled over, played dead, and let them close the Post Office. I remember going to the first Crest Park P O when it was located in a tiny grocery store in the campground at Hwy 18 and Hwy 173. (It started there in 1949.)
I'd like the citizens of Crest Park to get off their butts, make some noise, sign a petition, and get this thing opened again.

Are they still sitting on their butts?

It's too late. Another party has purchased the building and is living in it. I saw this coming a few years ago when the Crest Park Post Office changed their hours to 12 noon to 3 p .m. Monday through Friday. If I had to get something big from behind the counter that would not fit in my box and they did not put it in one of the lockers outside, it was a big inconvinence. I finally decided to open up a new box at the Lake Arrowhead Post Office where the hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The post office in Crest Park has been closed for a long time. I remember a few years back when the county wanted to put a dump site in Crest Park!! Remember that folks?? I'm not sure if they changed their minds because we all went down to one of the Chamber meetings or the school allowed them to put dumpsters in the parking lot. Now that would of been a real problem for us. So glad they gave up that idea!!

Hopefully this isn't a stupid question

; since we don't have a Post Office in Crest Park, but we live in Crest Park, what is our Zip Code? We have our Post Office box in Lake Arrowhead. When I give UPS our physical address to deliver a package, I don't know if I should tell them I live in Crest Park or Lake Arrowhead.

According to our UPS man Mike either city is suppose to work. I haven't had a problem yet as I have had things with both Crest Park and Lake Arrowhead as the city.

If UPS is delivering, I always use my phyisical address here in Crest Park using the zip code 92326 and I use my PO Box # at Lake Arrowhead Post Office for USPS deliveries.

Thank you!

That helps.
