A delivery truck for Alberto’s Mexican Food at The Depot in Rimforest plunged 75-feet off Highway 18 on New Year’s Eve in what may have been a wind-related accident. Gusts to 60 miles per hour were reported in the area of the accident two miles south of the Crestline Bridge.

Weary Southern California Edison crews repair downed lines that forced the closure of Highway 138 in Crestline Saturday between Balsam and Valley Road. Edison crews expect the task of repairing lines to take several hours and then Caltrans crews will come in and clean up the trees and debris on the roadway.
