I love taking pictures from \"Red Rock\" turnout, (between Crestline and Rim Forest on the 18). I never did get a picture of the lightening strikes, but here you can see that the clouds over Big Bear were busy doing their thing!

Another picture although somewhat hazy, showing the start of a lightening strike fire over towards Big Bear, a long way from \"Red Rock\" turnout. Towards the center of the photo the smoke plume is visible.  Again thanks to the all the firefighters, hopscotching over our mountain terrain, kept our homes and communities safe!!
