Esperanza Fire
The fire was first reported shortly after 1 AM on Thursday, October 26, 2006 near Cabazon. With Red Flag Warnings in place, the fire quickly consumed thousands of acres as it spread westward toward Banning and Poppets Flats.

Pinnacles Fire
The fire was first reported around 9:30 AM September 19, 2006 about 1/4 mile south of the shooting area. Firefighters had a shakey containment on the fire shortly after 10 AM, but the fire escaped containment just before 11 AM and spread rapidly.

A surprise blizzard dumped 15 to 30 inches of snow in the mountains with temperatures in the teens and low 20s, and winds gusting to 50 MPH. Snow fell as low as 1,000 feet snarled traffic on the 18 and 330, and closed Interstate 15. Upload your photos from this storm.
